I am so grateful for all those who have contributed to my 2025 Campaign for the Great Cycle Challenge that (as promised) I have not only increased my financial goal but also my distance goal.
An increase from 500kms to 1000kms to ride!
An increase from $500 to $1250 goal to be raised in support of children with cancer.

Today I rode up the Escarpment. Although the day was over 33*C & the air was thick (probably from the BC fires), the ride up the escarpment was coolish & shaded.
My leg hurts but I keep thinking of the kids who have to endure surgeries, treatments & hospitalizations. My leg still hurts but if these kids & their parents are suffering through this, God willing, so can I!
I may not be the fastest cyclist but Iām going to do my part to try to give these kids a fighting chance.

7 Jul 2025In a few weeks I will be riding my bike every day to ensure I'm able to reach my 500km goal this year. Last year I set an achievable goal but I ran into technical & physical issues that put me behind. I did consider lowering my final goal but realized that the kids I'm cycling for don't have that luxury! So, I carried on.
This year, I will keep things simple.
