My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Because I am still healing from a broken ankle, I anticipate cycling most of these kilometers inside with the benefit of a bike trainer. I have no way of knowing for sure how many kilometers I'm cycling, but on the road, I average around 20 kilometers per hour. Right now, my ride is around 45 minutes, so I'm estimating that each 45-minute ride is 15 kilometers. (I may be upgrading my trainer soon, and the upgrade will include kilometers.)

Right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
