I'm taking on the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer, but my personal reason for riding is my dad. This challenge runs in August, and Dad's birthday is in August; this is perfect timing for me to honour his resilience! My dad has been battling cancer since 2009. That’s over 15 years of tests, treatments, waiting rooms, and uncertainty. But through it all, he’s shown unwavering strength and courage. He keeps going, even when it's hard. Even when it hurts. He doesn’t complain; he just keeps showing up, every single day. Cancer doesn’t care how old you are. It affects kids, parents, and grandparents. While this ride supports children fighting cancer, I’m also riding for all those who’ve fought this disease, including the people we love most. Every kilometre I ride is for my dad, for the strength he’s shown, for the battles he’s faced, and for the love he’s given our family, even in the hardest moments. Your kindness will help fund vital research and bring hope to families whose lives have been forever changed by cancer. This ride is for kids. But it’s also for my dad. ❤️

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
