those brave young warriors battling cancer; their family and friends.
It is in having hope, love, faith and in our ACTION, that we can make a difference. And in doing, we give honor those who need us the most. Our Caring is our Gift.
My Story
Through this month of August, once again, I am taking part in the 'Great Cycle Challenge Canada' to help fight childhood cancer. Proudly, I am a part of a small team we call "Still Counting". We ride together as a group and separately in our towns to raise funds in support of Canadian children who are fighting this battle. Your help is needed.
Too many of our children are diagnosed every year with this terrible disease. Statistically, cancer is the 'Leading Cause' of death from disease in our children, yet pediatric cancers recieves less than 7% of all funding for cancer research. Donations raised go directly to investing in research and treatment of childhood cancers. By sponsoring my cycling effort, you can be a part of making this happen.
My personal goal is to ride more than 200 km, and raise over $1000.00. Your funds and my effort will help Canadian children who are presently battling cancer by supporting the work of the SickKids Foundation in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
