My Story

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

The year we battled Cancer. That's how we will always remember this last year. For us it began when Theresa and I signed up for the Great Cycle Challenge to help battle children's cancer. What a great cause we thought, and how horrible cancer must be for the children and their families. Unexpectedly the very next day it became personal. Theresa was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. So began the cycle of treatments, surgery, drugs and the finally the debilitating effects of chemotherapy. Yet, Theresa remained positive, strong and so brave, even continuing to ride her bike to complete the bike challenge 2 short weeks after the surgery. She is my hero. She and many others like her continue to show cancer can be beaten. We have hope for a cancer free future. A society where our children, or their families will have to live in fear again. Cancer can be beaten. Your support will change little lives. Thank you.
