Kelowna Trails - last ride for this month.

August 23rd

Rail trail to airport & back this morning - sunny blue skies with a light breeze made for a nice ride.

August 21st

Started at Beasley Park in Winfield, along east side of Wood Lake to Oyama, then west side of Kalamalka Lake towards Vernon, and back to Oyama then Pelmewash Parkway along west side of Wood Lake & return to Beasley Park.

August 19th

A nice cool, overcast day for an afternoon bike ride - headed downtown, then Abbott street to the paddle centre, then back along Abbott to Sutherland to Ethel to Cawston to Parkinson Rec Centre pickleball courts where I ran into Barb watching the games and she decided to join me on her e-bike out towards the airport & back to the pickleball courts and home. A nice ride overall. 👍😊

August 17th

Out & about on Kelowna bike trails on a sunny morning with a nice cool breeze for biking. 👍🚴🏻‍♀️

August 16th

Took a 2 day hiatus from biking but I’m back at it today with a mid-morning ride out to the airport & back against a headwind both ways ( how does that happen??).

August 13th

A longer ride this afternoon to take advantage of some cooler weather !!

Thanks to everyone that participated in Kick Cancer’s Butt day to donate to my fundraiser - we blew right past my $$ goal !! Whoohoo!! You guys rocked it!! 👍👏😊

If you missed it, donations will be collected till the end of August and I will keep on biking to get in my 500 km. 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️Onward Ho !!! 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️

August 12th - Airport run

Morning ride to YLW Airport - met a fellow Cycle Challenge rider, Sonia, and had a pleasant ride-along from Parkinson’s Rec Centre to the airport runway and back. 👍😊 Thanks for the company and good conversation, Sonia !!
