Had a great ride today out to the end of the Demonstration Forest road where it meets the Seymour Falls dam. Another of many bluebird days here. No wildlife today beyond some native squirrels. My bike was in top form so I shaved a couple minutes off my circuit. Competitive me liked that 😁
My usual riding access route was closed so used an alternate to get my kilometres in. Beauty day. A couple deer munching leaves crossed my path. Met my distance goal today. Seymour Falls Dam was picturesque as always. Whoohoo!
Big shout out to James at Obsession Bikes in North Van who diagnosed and fixed (replaced) my totally shredded rear shifter cable while I waited. That saved me another trip and the time and let me get on with adding more mileage. Thanks for the great service, guys!!
Epic riding day on the Demonstration Forest Road on the 13th. Another bluebird day. My bike, however, had other ideas with mechanical issues on lap one with the chain popping off and then, wait for it… the rear derailleur freezing up in a low gear on lap 2 (picture mad pedalling here). It was telling me it is Tune Up Time 😎! Ok, I’m on it!
Fun ride today. Bluebird day with perfect temperatures. One lap to the dam and return. Met another rider from Frankfurt, Germany and we compared bikes. Getting stronger as the month progresses.
Thursday’s ride was longer turning out 72 kilometres. Nice cool day with friendly people to engage with.
Good ride this afternoon on the demonstration forest road. Warm temps around 25ish. Not too busy. Did 2 laps back 2 back for just over 50km total. May adjust my target goal in a couple days.
