We are reaching the end of the 3rd week of the ride to fight kids cancer. I'd like to send everyone a special thank you for supporting the kids and rooting for me.
We've collectively donated $1010 which is a little over two times my fundraising goal of $500.
This morning, I have completed the 600km goal that I set for myself.
In the last week of this challenge, I will continue to ride more kms, and if you or someone you know was thinking of supporting the fight against kids cancer there is still time - every donation matters. Thank you!
I climbed 280m to the top of the hollywood hill. At no point was I able to view the Hollywood sign for a photo shoot. 35min to climb 3kms of road and very disappointing at the top LOL. Oh well I still enjoyed the ride.
I found this on the internet.
Last week we had 5 new donations and 3 new supporters. Thank you so much for your support!
Time for the cycling version of 'walk the runway'. Sorry for the picture but this blog doesnt do video.
We did not receive a 100% match yesterday. This is a good thing! It means that Canadians donated in excess of $1.3 million yesterday.Hurray! Thank you so much for fighting kids cancer.
If we can get 3 more people to join our group of supporters, I will 'walk the runway' in spandex cycling clothes.
While this offer does not go away until the challenge is over, please use this wednesdays event to get your donation matched.
If you are worried about not remembering to place a donation on wednes, you can etransfer me. And Pauline will make sure it gets uploaded on Wednesday.
My commute starts with the Bedford-Sackville Connector Trail system, as far as I know all trails are closed with the threat of a $25000 fine.
While this puts a pause on my bike commuting, i'll be back tomorrow with a plan to ride the bus 2km into Bedford so i can continue my rides. This ride must go on! I am still excited about this month, I hope you are too.
Thank you for fighting kids cancer.
Now, I am going to find my sunscreen and go for a ride.
