Reaching the end of the month and we have managed to raise more money than anticipated and rode up to 600K. Quite please with my effort! Running day today. One last ride to do but with the forecast for the next few days does not look good. It might have to be a virtual ride. Not the same as the real outdoors that is for sure. Got three days to reach my goal of 600Km. Will try to get it done as early as possible. Just finished my book new revised edition “Terry Fox his story” and well it was not an easy read. This kid went through some much and yet he still had a fighting spirit. A true grit Canadian (p. 228). RESPECT! ❤️🩹
Just caught a cold for some reason and I am taking it easy today. Alternating between my cycling and my running can be a challenge. Still got to do my 50K running tally for the month. I should surpass the three quarter distance on my next ride and then it will be the sprint to get the mileage done. Hoping the weather stays this way and a few more donations would be great too.
Today is a relaxed day. My goal money wise has been reached and we have surpassed last year total with still 15 days to go. I am overwhelmed and ecstatic by the support received so far.

Mon défi personnel sera de rouler un autre 300Km pour les deux semaines qui reste. Donc je vise non pas 500Km mais bel et bien 600Km. No ride planned today but a nice 6.3K run after the downpour that we got earlier this morning. 4 donations came in since yesterday and I am hoping for two or three more today as donations will be matched today only (Wednesday, August 13th). Busy first week and I am taking a rest day today. Planning a 40K ride before the heat tomorrow morning. The goal this week is to reach half way point in my kilometres. Should do this early in the week despite the heat wave warnings. Big bonus for donations on Wednesday, August 13th. All donations will be doubled. This should be quite helpful. However, GCC had to prorate the donations last year because of the overwhelming amount of donations received on that single day. Expecting the same thing this year. Any support and any amount is welcomed and appreciated at any given time.
