We decided to begin our ride on the North Side, cross the walking bridge, go downtown and turn around at Hartt Island campground. We finished the 200 km after pedalling 23. Of course we had to stop for ice cream to get us home…🥰
We decided to go to Fredericton today for a ride on the Northside Trail. It wasn’t 24 degrees like predicted but 32 degrees. We went 19 km in the sweltering heat. We stopped several times for water breaks. We also stopped in to visit a dear friend and get a cool down. It was a nice afternoon but difficult to stay « perky » with the temps so high.
Off we went on a sunny HOT day to St Andrews to bike close to the ocean and experience a cool breeze along the way. It was 10 km of ocean views and to top off the ride—lobster rolls! It couldn’t have been a better ride to add kilometers to our ride for the kids. 🩷💙
The Speedy Smiths covered 21 km in 30 degree temps and stopped along the way to watch some eagles and some swimmers doing a swinging rope maneuver to get into the water. Great day!
