Just like we earn a jersey when we reach $500 in donations, we can also earn a hero jersey when we reach $2500 in donations. I also did that on “Kick Cancer’s Butt” day, even before the donation matching was applied. Thanks again for all you very generous sponsors! I literally couldn’t have done that without you. This year’s hero jersey is designed in the theme of Wolverine. I even got to wear it on a clean bike today! You can still sponsor me until the end of August if you haven’t already.
After over 1500 km since I bought this bike in September, it desperately needed a bath! Between mud from the NB Trail in Florenceville-Bristol and dust from the PEI Confederation Trail, it was filthy! Hopefully it doesn’t go this long again before I wash it next time. Just need to lubricate it and put the stuff back on it, and I’ll be ready for tomorrow’s ride.
For raising $500, riders earn a jersey. I did that on Wednesday during Kick Cancer’s Butt Day. I wore it today during my ride in St. Andrews, NB. Thank you to all the very generous sponsors who made this possible!
Yesterday was an amazing day with so many very generous sponsors!
If you're wondering how the donation matching went, here's how it worked:
The Garron Family were personally matching donations up to $1,300,000. Kick Cancer's Butt Day raised a record-breaking $1,890,417!
$1,300,000 / $1,890,417 = 68.77% - so they matched 68.77% of the total each participant raised yesterday.
For me personally, I raised a record-breaking😉$3847.68 yesterday, so they matched it as $2645.97!
Thanks again for all your support!
You can still sponsor me all of August and follow my riding progress here.
WOW! Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far! Your generosity has been incredible!
If you missed sponsoring me yesterday when they matched donations, you still have the rest of August to do so.

I got this Cannondale hybrid bike in September. As of today, I’ve put 1000 km on it. It’s the bike that I plan to use primarily and hopefully exclusively for this year’s challenge. It’s my first new bike in 8 years and I love it!
